Social Safeguards Specialist / Gender and Social Development Specialist (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities
- Propose the appointment of, supervise, and monitor, external consultants for environmental and social impact assessment
- Prepare safeguards assessment report for each guarantee proposal or annual review
- Arrange environmental management plans, indigenous peoples plans, involuntary

resettlement plans; and the appropriate disclosures, thereof

Develop gender strategies, work plans, activities and budget implications for gender mainstreaming in the project
- Advise on policy and facilitation of knowledge-building on gender equality and equity, gender integration, human rights and social development, tools and related topics as required
- Assist with the interpretation of gender-related data and ensure that sex- and gender-disaggregated data are extracted, processed and analyzed, and included in the reports and other documents
- Closely work with the project team to ensure gender integration in the key areas of the project activities
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s Degree in an applied Social Science, e.g. Sociology, Anthropology, Development Economics, Human Geography or related fields
- Total experience of at least 15 years with at least 10 years in similar field
- Experience in involuntary resettlement and social analysis would be an advantage
- Proficiency in English written and verbal communication
