Timeline DC Asia
DC asia was founded 1991 as a German subsidiary company under the laws of Thailand.
Dorsch started its activities in Thailand in 1978 establishing the detailed design for an integrated mass transit system in Bangkok.
Twenty years later in 1997 Dorsch was again involved in the development of the preliminary design of the northern part of the blue line and again thirty years after our first job here, in 2006, DC asia was awarded the three lines extension project for orange blue and purple line as part of the BMTD consortium.
In the 1980’s Dorsch together with Linde AG designed the first gas separation plant for PTT in Rayong, Thailand. This was the start for a series of oil and gas projects on the eastern seaboard to include the loading and unloading facilities for the National Petrochemical Corporation at Map Ta Phut Port, crude oil / product pipelines and terminals for PTT.
In 1996 DC asia together with Nova Gas from Canada finished the design of the 240 km Yadana gas pipeline from Myanmar to Thailand Ratchburi for PTT. Presently DC asia is involved in the design, tender and supervision for the Songklah transmission pipeline in the South of Thailand.
In the water / wastewater sector DC asia started its activities 1988 with the village development project financed by KfW. In 1998 DC asia reviewed the design of one of the biggest treatment plants in Bangkok including a 15 km sewer network.
